Your feedback

I have been writing my blog for a few years now.  I have been faithfully posting them to Facebook and pinterest.  I have spent quite a bit of time planning them and considering what to write or give visually in each of my posts.

I am now after feedback from my readers.  Please could you give me some feedback on my blog.....the good and the bad :)

  • How often do you read my posts?
  • Do you get something out of them?
  • What can I do to improve my posts?
  • What can I do to improve my blog?

I would really love to hear from you!! Please could you comment below or e-mail me what you think.

Thank you :)

  1. Hi Catherine, I read most posts. Sometimes I skip the ones about your family because they are more personal and I don't really know you. Love reading posts about your art and process. I probably don't comment as much because you have the spam verification thingy on and I get annoyed by them (I've taken it off on my blog, I don't allow anonymous comments and I don't get too much spam). I also don't go back to your posts to check if you replied to any comments I leave because I don't have time and once I've read a post it disappears from my reader. On my blog I decided to reply to everyone by replying to their email address and not replying if they were a no-reply commenter, but that's just how it works for me.

I think you need to consider what you want from your blog. Is it a journal or log where you are just keeping a record of what you do? In that case, it's pretty good. Do you want to use it to launch you into teaching/writing etc? Then maybe you need to tailor more to your audience (which I guess is why you are researching). The successful teachers and writers blogs I've followed 'give' a lot. By that I mean: info, tutorials (which are then listed on their sidebar or top tabs), giveaways, networking, involving their audience etc. Do you want it to chronicle your family? I know lots of people who have started up private blogs just for family and close friends so that their lives are kept a bit more private. It all depends on what you want your blog to do for you.

Wow, that was a long two-cents worth!
