I have been putting off work over the last week because my studio, which has become the "if I can't find somewhere to put it....throw it into mums studio space" has been a disaster of epic proportions. No spaces to put anything no clear bench tops and no where to sit.
What a mess. No wonder I can't get creative!!
I began to tidy and organise my space. Found other places in the house for The children's memory boxes and for my embroidery stands. I sorted drawers and shelves in to more manageable spaces and 2 days later Voila!!!!! A tidy studio.
I can finally fit my dress makers dummy in my room.
Books and files organised
Everything put away. A space I can work in and feel peaceful in.
Creative zone here I come!!!!
Oooooh that looks so nice and organized! Good job!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog through the Quilting Gallery - I saw your painted quilt at Calico Christmas and recognised it again there! I love your committment to drawing each day (especially love it considering you have 5 kids - how do you manage it?!). And re: studio - I think sometimes you have to reach bottom before you can surface again! Looks great and I'm sure you'll find your mojo again just like that.
ReplyDeleteWell it is a challenge making time I try and do it is bits. Sketch and draw first and then paint later. Doing that breaks a bigger job into smaller more manageble chunks.
ReplyDeleteThe clean studio is really helping the mojo :) I have much more inspiration now.
