Be creative and grow

My little girl  (who is now 21 where does the time go)  If off to to British Columbia  Canada, on a church mission this week.  She will be gone for 18 months.  We have spent much of the last couple of weeks organising her wardrobe and all her other things she will need for 1 and 1/2 years.  It all has to fit into 2 suitcases and one carry on bag.  It has been hard going but we are nearly done!

It will be so hard to see her go but I am sure she will be well looked after and will have an amazing experience over in Canada.

Life moves so fast.  We need to take time to stop and smell the roses.  It only seems like yesterday that she was born and toddling around on her wee little legs. Now she is a grown woman ready to take on the world.

The same thing can apply to giving ourselves time to look after ourselves and to be creative, because time disappears for us and before long moments will be lost until we have no time left at all.

Take hold of the moment now and value each second life gives us.

Breathe it in,  use it to the best of our ability,  make it work and grow!

  1. Wow! What an awesome experience for her. And you're right about time moving so fast. My eldest is now 8, every time I turn my back he seems to have grown another inch. It won't be long until I'm in the same position as you - saying goodbye as he strikes out on his own.

  2. Yes, I know the feeling! My daughter has been in S Korea for 2 1/2 years. With skype today and email we can stay close.
What a great adventure for her!
